Great job, young scientists! Parents of Arundel MS students can relax for a few moments, as Science Fair projects are finished! A lot of hard work and scientific skills were evident in the boards on display. Under the direction of Science Department Chair Danielle Stephenson, awards were presented on January 14 for Honorable Mention through First Place. Ten students and two alternates were selected for the county level competition which will be held on March 5th.  All photos by Donna McCormick for Suburban Scene.

For some of us, January is the month of recovery from the holiday, of hibernating from the cold weather, of watching football playoff games. But for local boy scouts, this time of the year means one thing – the Pinewood Derby!

Wow!  Congratulations to the entire cast and crew of Arundel High School's Arundel Players' most recent production of "Grease."

With the lovely snow as a backdrop, the Crofton Meadows community was treated to picturesque scenes while riding lovely horse drawn carriages at their school's annual Holiday Fair last weekend.

The parents were buying and the kids were moving as Nantucket Elementary's PTA held their holiday auction and stocking hop on a chilly Friday evening.
