Piney Orchard Celebrates 20 Years

Good food, rockin’ entertainment, and excellent shopping brought out the crowds at Piney Orchard’s 20th Anniversary Street Festival.
The day’s festivities began with the annual Piney Orchard Elementary 5K Run/Walk that started and ended at Piney Orchard Elementary after traveling through neighborhood streets and the Nature Preserve paved path.
Afterwards, an opening ceremony for the festival along Stream Valley Way was held at the community center. The local Big Band Caliente kicked off the live entertainment that also included Jam-The Band, Win-Win Gymnastics, Arts-n-Motion, and A Tail Above dog demonstration.
Kids were thrilled with activities such as face painting, hair braiding, sand art, and the rock climbing and Velcro walls, while adults enjoyed shopping with local vendors and great food supplied by local restaurants.
Kudos to Jennifer Wiech and Peg Waters who served as Co-Chairs for the event, as well as Mother Nature who made this community celebration such as success.
