CHA Members Go Tropical

Despite the cooler temperatures outside, members of the Church of the Holy Apostles recently traveled to the tropics during their Island Celebration held February 28th .
Billed as a “night of food, fun, and fundraising to benefit the parish,” the evening involved a 20 piece steel drum band, a Carribean food buffet, a Chinese raffle, a money wheel, Left-Right-Center, live and silent auctions, and a rockin DJ who helped attendees dance the night away.
The event was attended by hundreds of people ready to enjoy the evening. Proceeds go towards paying off the rectory mortgage.

Looking very Island chic, event planners Patty Pareja and Michelle Chervenak are ready to welcome guests to the event.
Now who wouldn’t want to buy a full set of 30 raffle tickets from these two?! Pat Armbrust and Jeff (aka Jose for the evening) Niesz dutifully work the ticket table.
A variety of wonderful items filled the silent auction tables which were very popular.
Michele Dougherty enjoyed a few rounds of winning at the Money Wheel. Looking on, far left, Catherine Irwin and pictured far right, playing along, Joyce Kenney.

Jane Miller makes quick rounds to show off one of the hot ticket raffle items, a hockey stick signed by all of the Washington Capitals players.
