Library Happenings Summer 2010

Green Magic
Magic, science and comedy collide in this fast-paced program that proves that “going green” can not only be lots of fun, but also very easy! The Magic of Joe Romano has been performed with celebrities including Larry King and Celine Dion as well as
at major theme parks and on cruise ships.
Hooked on Books
Join “Mr. Jones,” a mild-mannered “everyman,” as he discovers what a fun and exciting experience reading can be. An entertainer who has studied the masters of his craft—Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Bill Irwin—Mark Lohr has performed everywhere from the stage of the Kennedy Center to the streets of Los Angeles, as well as in the center ring of the circus.
Tropical Splash! Explore the Music of Island Cultures
Set sail with musician Tracey Eldridge on a voyage to fun! Kids sing, move and play along using native instruments. Tracey Eldridge is highly respected in both the regional entertainment and educational communities and has studied, performed and taught music for more than 25 years.
Water, Water Everywhere Puppet Show
After a dip in the pool, the three not-so-little pigs make quite a splash as they take up residence at the library! With the help of the friendly librarian, the pigs learn how to read, cooperate and behave. Blue Sky Puppet Theatre has been one of the finest children’s touring theaters on the East Coast since 1974, performing more than 1,000 shows a year.
